Pastor Chris Mitchell joined HFUMC in July 2019.

Pastor Chris Mitchell, began serving Honeoye Falls United Methodist Church in July 2019 as her first appointment as a Licensed local pastor.  Before her appointment here, she served at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Greece, NY as the Youth Pastor, and Co-Christian Education Director.  Currently, she is enrolled at Northeastern Seminary, working towards her Masters of Divinity and plans to continue through the ordination process to become an Ordained Elder.  Pastor Chris, currently serve as the Upper New York Conference Safe Sanctuaries Co-Chair and trainer to assure our churches know how to keep ourselves, our churches and our children, youth and vulnerable adults safe. 

Pastor Chris comes to us, along with her two children Jacob and Kennedy.  Both Jacob and Kennedy have participated in youth group, youth events, and several mission trips.  While Jacob has stayed within the US (Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Vermont), Kennedy has served three consecutive years at Project Chacocente in Masaya, Nicaragua. Jacob graduated from Penfield High School in 2016, and Kennedy graduated from a homeschool program in 2018.  

Outside the church, Pastor Chris is an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Honeoye Falls-Lima, Mendon. She will be President of the club for the 2022-2023 year. She will serve the Finger Lakes Division Convention Coordinator (2021-2022) and had served as Youth Protection Coordinator (2017-2021).
