Sarah Mathias

We’re writing to those members and attenders who gave to the Honeoye Falls United Methodist Church this last year to say thank you. Without your support, our church’s ministries could not happen. Our church priorities of Passionate Worship, Christian Formation, and Mission and Outreach continue to grow because of your generous giving! We also appreciate the time, talent, wisdom, energy and ideas you share with the church. With these gifts we are able to serve the local community and the world.

This year we’ve enjoyed:

  • Worship every Sunday with a thoughtful message
  • Joyful singing and the bell choir
  • Pub Theology
  • Sunday School for all ages
  • Ecumenical Vacation Bible Camp
  • Ministry Shares paid in full
  • Small group studies
  • Flood buckets for those in need
  • Fellowship brunches
  • Right Now, Media for video lessons on faith and the Bible
  • Christmas Boxes for Red Bird Mission

You’ve already shown yourself to be a regular and generous giver, and we’d like you to prayerfully consider what you can pledge for the upcoming year. We encourage you to give the biblical tithe, 10% of your income, to the church. If you can’t take that step this year, perhaps this can be a year when you move toward a tithe by increasing your level of giving. We’ve provided a chart on the enclosed commitment form as a possible tool in assisting you in making that determination.

We’ve enclosed a commitment form. Take time to pray about your giving for 2018, and then fill out the commitment form and return it to the church by October 15th. We ask you to fill out and return a commitment form each year as it allows the church to plan and budget for ministries. The act of filling out a form allows you to set a goal for giving during the upcoming year.

We’re also asking you to consider signing up for Electronic Giving (EFT) if you haven’t done so already. By giving through EFT, even if you miss worship due to illness or vacation, your tithe and offerings arrive regularly. EFT is helpful in providing a portion of what’s needed in meeting our church’s ministry goals, in addition to assisting us in meeting the regular financial commitments we have as a part of our ongoing ministry. If you choose EFT offerings, fill out both sides of the commitment form, and return it to the church by October 15th.

Commitment forms will be accepted after October 15th; however, your prompt response will help us prepare a budget that reflects our ministry plans and priorities.

Thank you for all you do to further the mission and work of the Honeoye Falls United Methodist Church. Your generosity through your prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness makes a difference!
